This is going in my sob playlist Haunting/Beautiful sings about death and grief leave me sobbing the first time I hear them. Just like this one. Maybe the theme is about suicide, maybe it's not, but every single time I hear a new one I think about something that happened in the fall of last year, where I almost lost my best friend to suicide. She's still here now, and from time to time I think about what happened and it usually leaves me either sad or anxious. This song is one of those songs, and it's definitely going in my cry music playlist.

many say that it gets better. but i cannot remember a time when i wasnt depressed. it started when i was six and would lie in bed at night hoping to pass in my sleep. im 24 now. though once in a while i can forget it for a short time, it always comes back. and nothing i have done has ever made it go away. i have traveled, i have stayed in one place. i have been successful, i have taken it slow. i have gotten professional help, i have tried to solve it myself. but nothing dispells the pain. when will this end? how will it end? it feels fated. it feels like my sole purpose in life is to suffer this invisible, this chronic existential pain and to be consumed by it. always, there is a shred of hope in my irrational soul that it will miraculously improve. but in my practical mind, i have lost hope. and i dont know if i can find it again. i desparatly wish to find peace in this life. but it feels overwhelmingly like it was not meant for me. all the best for everyone else, though. i wish you nothing but peace and i hope you can find it in this life. i hope i can do the same.

"why do you cry" really punches me in the chest every time. i've not lost a loved one to death but a close friend i will never see again. she was so kind to me when everyone laughed at me for crying. before i even thought of her as a friend, she was there for me. now that she's gone, i can't stop crying. i didn't return the love she gave me. i never deserved her and she deserved better than me so why don't i feel like i thanked her enough even though i gave her a huge thank you in her birthday card. i miss her so much. i love you libba.

She died yesterday..

I've been listening to this song for about a year because of a relationship that made me seriously mentally sick. It was terrible. At one point, when things were complicated in the relationship, I snapped and made a lot of threats and horrible things. Today, on the 4th of July I learned that there's a warrant for my arrest now. Second degree stalking. Hope it goes well, My life could be over. Needless to say, this song has a whole new meaning to me. As a burden to my family, unable to get a job... I think about taking my life to this song.

My uncle passed away one year ago today July 4th, his old band mate sent his widow this song today. My family had a memorial for him and we all listened to this together. We miss him.
